It’s hard to believe that it has been 10 years ago today, that I took over the practice from Mr and Mrs Langenhorst.  They showed great faith in me, entrusting their precious baby into my care.  Since our humble beginnings in October 1999 of Estelle, the receptionist, and myself the optom, dispenser, lab technician, finance officer and accountant, the practice have gown by leaps and bounds,  doubleing up in floor space.

It has been an amazing journey getting to know all the patients, helping them with their visual needs, experiencing the high moments of birth and marriage and sharing the low moments of injury and loss.  Through this time many have become like family members and seeing patients return year after year felt more like a family reunion than work.

Over the years the practice have developed a specialty in contact lens fitting with specific emphasis on Orthokeratology and rehabilitating the irregular cornea.  We have added a in house glazing lab with the state of the art Nidek Lex 1000 patternless edger and driller allowing us to do complicated nylon and rimless fits on the premises.  We have increase our fashion frame stock to over a thousand units and can supply high end sport specific sunglasses including high base curve, polarised, back surface ARC, progressive sunglass lenses imported from the states.

Our eye tests take an hour, in which time we use old and modern techniques combined to achieve a comprehensive eye health and sight evaluation.  Using 90D fundus lens evaluations, contact tonometry, corneal topography and anterior and posterior OCT scans we can do a thorough eye health examination coupled with a extensive case history, hand retinoscopy and detailed refraction we leave nothing to change when it comes to your sight.
