I hold a Bachelor of Optometry degree from the University of Johannesburg (2001), and for over 20 years, I’ve been dedicated to helping people see more clearly and live more fully. As the co-owner of Charl Laas Optometrists, I’m passionate about delivering exceptional, personalized eye care that truly makes a difference.

While I love all aspects of optometry, I have a special interest in scleral contact lenses, orthokeratology, rigid corneal lenses, myopia control, pediatric optometry, and binocular vision. I’m committed to staying current with the latest technology and treatment methods, ensuring each patient receives the most effective care tailored to their unique needs.

Outside the practice, I’m a proud mom of three and happily married to my supportive husband. I enjoy cooking, trying out new recipes, and sharing meals with loved ones. Nature is my favorite way to recharge, and I also find joy in relaxing with a good book—often with our affectionate German Shorthaired Pointer curled up beside me.
