Sherrie is a director and registered optometrist at Charl Laäs Optometrists where she describes herself as a passionate and detail-oriented optometrist, who likes a challenge.

She grew up in the Free State and started her optometry career in Virginia before venturing out to the big city. Transferred to a new group practice in Claremont, she blossomed in Cape Town, where she grew the new practice remarkably with great service, attention to detail and her friendly down to earth nature.

Sherrie graduated with a Bachelors degree of Optometry (with diagnostic privileges) from the University of Johannesburg in 2006. Being committed to providing the best optometry care, Sherrie decided to expand her knowledge and in 2009 received a Postgraduate degree in Sports Vision from the University of Johannesburg.

She is a member of the Health Professions Council South Africa (HPCSA) and the South African Optometric Association (SAOA).

Sherrie is committed to quality family eye care and building personal long-term relationships with her patients.
