Evil eye – a name that has influenced the biking scene for more than ten years, a name synonymous with innovation and functionality. Throughout Europe, evil eye products and trails are a promise of ultimate biking fun. The new evil eye halfrim pro and the newly constructed evil eye Flow Country Trail in Bischofsmais (Germany) are opening a new chapter in the evil eye success story.

For pro riders and amateur enthusiasts alike, the evil eye stands for professional and uncompromising riding. The name has become synonymous with the biking scene. A new addition is now set to join the family: the evil eye halfrim pro. From road racing to BMX and mountain biking – this versatile halfrim model is sure to impress in any situation.

Cleverly designed product

The halfrim design and the durable, flexible SPX™ material make the eyewear extremely light and the ideal companion on any tour. It is designed for the demands of both mountain biking on rugged trails and arduous road racing. The removable sweat blocker stays firmly in place during ascents or sprints, protecting the eyes from sweat and unpleasant draughts. Thanks to its special temple design, the evil eye halfrim pro fits under any helmet and always sits perfectly on the face. The eyewear can also be individually adjusted to ensure an ideal fit. The nose pads can be adjusted in two ways, the temples in three ways, for optimal grip, even on faster downhill sections.

Especially when racing at high speeds or on rough terrain, the rider needs to have a clear view all around. The aerodynamic model has strongly curved filters to provide a wide angle of vision while the excellent filter technology ensures a clear view. The enabling technology behind the filters is the Light Stabilizing Technology™(LST™), which compensates strong light variations and increases contrasts, ensuring clear vision at all times. The eyes tire less quickly, allowing the rider to concentrate on the track and his or her technique. An innovative and patented filter swapping system allows quick and easy replacement of filters: simply push back the side retaining clip and insert the appropriate filter. The system is easy to operate, even when wearing biking gloves or if your hands are wet with perspiration. Making irritating fingerprints on filters a thing of the past. The evil eye halfrim pro from Adidas eyewear is extremely versatile and ensures a clear view on any bike tour – whether on tarmac or rugged terrain. For maximum fun and safety!

Mountain biker enjoying the Evil eye Flow Country Trail

The new “evil eye Flow Country Trail” in Bischofsmais bike park (www.bikepark-net) also guarantees the very best in biking fun. Freeriding legend Hans Rey (Switzerland) and German park builder Diddie Schneider (MTB-Zone) have joined forces with Adidas eyewear.

The result is the arrival in Europe of the Flow Country Trail concept which has proved so successful in America. Flow Country Trails are narrow, natural single trails (50 to 100 cm) that incorporate a range of, not too difficult, obstacles. In certain areas, the trail may be slightly more demanding from a technical viewpoint, with steeper, rougher and narrower sections.

The trail is a mixture of bike park, cross country single trail and a long pump track. “Even less experienced mountain bikers should finish a Flow Country Trail with big smile on their face,” explains Hans Rey enthusiastically. The new “evil eye Flow Country trail” in Bischofsmais opened on 8 October 2010 and invites biking enthusiasts of all levels of ability.

The evil eye halfrim pro will be available in stores from January 2011. Like all the other models in the Adidas eyewear collection it is designed and manufactured by the renowned eyewear producer Silhouette International in Austria
