Charl Laäs Optometrist owes it origins to Mr Klaus Langenhorst who first opened the practice with his wife, Inge, in Durbanville in 1976. Mr. Langenhorst was a firm believer in delivering high quality eye care and keeping up to date with modern optometric technology. Mrs Langenhorst was well known for her exceptional service, always given with a warm and personal touch.
When I took over the practice in 1999, these were the qualities and ideals that attracted me to the practice and are still the compass that steers the practice today.
The practice has grown over the years and now consists out of 7 highly trained staff members who together can provide numerous Optometry related speciality services to clients all over South Africa and as far as Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
We carry over a thousand high quality fashion frames on stock and have an in house glazing facility allowing us to cut and fit ophthalmic lenses on the premises ensuring quality control of the highest standard.
The fact that we are most proud of however, is that we know each and every of our clients on a personal level.
